This 17 minutes animation has at its core a slowness that invites the viewer to stop and measure. The slown transition of the animation that stars with diagonal, transformed into quadrilateral shapes that moves, changes, overlaps takes us from one space to another much like the icebergs drifting onto the cold water of the Atlantic Ocean.
The colours in the animation are a combination of ancient stained glass and sunlight beaming through it, which stands in stark contrast to the technology utilized to produce and project the piece. Perception of space and time are central elements in the experience of this work: space as illusion and reality; time as duration and transition.
As the title of the animation suggest, Le voyage | Time Spaces is a metaphor of the transitory nature of life and toys with perception of space as a fleeting moment.
