For this series of drawings inspired by aerial suburban landscapes on the periphery of Toronto, I retained the fields and trees of what was once prosperous land that belonged to the Mississauga First Nation. By leaving out the rows of buildings in a housing development, I describe the ever-increasing urbanization that unremittingly infringes on agricultural land and forests.
